Default HID Headlight issues

Just got around to installing my christmas present new black halo headlights with HID'S in the low beams. I got everything hooked up and tested fine when i started the truck and turned on the headlight the low beams may or may not work and or stay on. I have the ballast boxes on the low side and could wiggle the connections between the low beams and boxes and it would may it come on or go off, but i am also wondering if the ballast boxes itself has to be grounded. The reason i ask is because after i left it alone for a while and thought about it and went back out and played a little more when i would switch from parking to headlights my radio would cut off and right back on and one or the other low beam light would come on?? Any help on this matter would greatly help thank you. Also sorry for the long post just trying to give as much info as i can. Thanks again

Did you install the necessary resistors and relay packs as well?
