Default Programmer decision help?

Hello to all, hope someone can give me a little advice of what to get.

I have a 01 Gmc 2500hd Duramax,Iv had the Bully Dog Triple Dog for a couple years now,it has power don't get me wrong, I was thinking of upgrading to something else, I don't want something that's going to mess stuff up tho by no means. I was looking into the PPE programmer, and any thoughts on it or anyone running it? My bully dog smokes a little while on the highest setting, but not like I have seen some trucks do. I know smoke isn't power, but I do like to smoke it here and there, its not a daily basic or every day thing tho, my truck has been babied for the most part. I had replaced injectors about 2 years ago.no trouble since.

Suggestiond on PPE? Iv heard of Edge Juice with Attitude?Never seen one tho.. Also heard of EFI- but not rlly wantin to spend a thousand bucks on something, also heard its to much for a factory tranns

Efi is the only thing we use on those trucks. Stock trans is safe with proper tunes. Hit Luke up.

Sent with a Droid RAZR in one hand and 14,000 volts in the other.

Ive had the ppe accelerator for my 01 lb7 and it is a lot different than the triple dog. I had a lot of power from the ppe but I also was afraid of limping the trans. Ppe definitely put out way more power on the 90 horse tune than the triple dog on its extreme tune. Just my 2 cents, good luck!

And I'd ditch both of them for efi live if I could afford it right now haha

my recommendation is to go with edge juice with attitude works really good on our 02 with stock trans but if you go with efi live go with a single tune not the dsp5 switch with 5 different tunes every time you change a tune the truck has to relearn that tune which is not the best for the computers or the engine

not true, the transmission will do some minor relearns from time to time when switching tunes if you switch them a lot but the exact same thing will happen with the edge if you switch tunes on it all the time also.

switching tunes is in now way harmful to the engine

2x

i have Efi Live and DSP5. it is all in the tuning. one can make bad tunes and the transmission will have a hard time adjusting to it. if the tuner knows what he is doing then the relearning of the transmission is seamless and quick.

i make my own tunes and the relearn between tunes is done within a few miles and some of the tunes you can hardly tell.

the throttle and torque tables play a large part in the adaptability of the transmission.
