Default Pulling Transmission

I am going to drop the transmission out of my truck to install a Goerend billet flex plate. I think the stock one is cracked and the cause of a noise I have been searching for awhile. While I have the transmission out is there any thing I should look for / inspect on the torque converter and the rest of the transmission. The transmission seems to be working just fine. I eventually want to install a Goerend built transmission, but budget does not allow for that at this time. Just looking for some insight on things I should do while it is out. Any help would be great.

check everything you can, see if anything is cracked, looks like it has a defect anything along those lines, or if anything is loose as well.
