Default turbo flutter

Ok started noticing my turbo making a "fluttering" sound when spooling up in 4th and 5th gear. Doesnt do it in any other gear. Sound starts at about 15psi in 4th and 10-15psi in 5th. Any ideas what is causing this and a solution?? Thanks guys

Surge... Quite common. ATS compressor housing WILL fix it, Wicked Wheel compressor wheel might fix it...

You will NEVER hear a wastegate on a 7.3.

you say it works on 80% why is that? supporting mods cause it? if so how much power can you put through the wicked wheel before it becomes more of a problem than a fix?

Tuning, tire and gearing play a huge roll... as due elevation and driving style...

There is NO place where the WW becomes a problem that is not overall caused by the stock turbos limits...

ie, wicked wheel or no wicked wheel, the stock turbo is not happy above 30psi...
